Applus+ in China provides comprehensive solar testing services for a large-scale residential solar power plant, with professional technology and standardized processes to ensure the safety, reliability and performance of 292,000 photovoltaic modules in 2,875 households and other industrial and public facilities.
The project covers a total of 8 key cities in Liaoning Province, including Shenyang, Liaoyang, Dalian, Anshan, Yingkou, Jinzhou, Huludao and Dandong, and is one of the largest residential photovoltaic clusters in the region. Although the scale and complexity of the project posed significant technical and logistical challenges, Applus+ has extensive experience in achieving full area, component, and inspection dimensions to ensure that every installation meets stringent solar quality and safety standards.
The project adopts simultaneous safety and performance evaluation to provide users with double assurance. We identify and eliminate potential hazards through physical and electrical inspections, including galvanized layer inspection, component visual inspection, ground continuity testing, phalanx insulation testing, and electroluminescence (EL) testing, from hardware assembly to electrical connections. At the same time, the module performance and power generation efficiency are verified to ensure stable power output and reliable renewable energy supply. For the region's special climate, Applus+ also conducts Damp Heat 85/85 to simulate long-term high temperature and humidity environments to verify the durability of the modules in harsh environments.
To balance accuracy and efficiency, Applus+ tailors testing solutions to each city while adhering to internationally recognized standards. For example, Shenyang needs to test 635 households, and Dalian involves 293 households. Through this model, the team completed the inspection of more than 16,000 sets of photovoltaic strings without affecting the construction schedule, ensuring the smooth progress of the project while maintaining the highest quality standards.
