Applus+ in China awarded 2 year wind turbine component supervision contract

Under the contract, Applus+ in China will provide supervision services throughout the production lifecycle of key wind turbine components. The scope focuses on monitoring critical manufacturing stages to ensure compliance with client specifications, technical requirements, and approved drawings. This approach enables early identification of deviations and supports corrective actions before components are delivered.

A dedicated team of qualified wind turbine inspection engineers will be deployed at manufacturing sites. Personnel involved in the project hold internationally recognized certifications, including IIW International Welding Engineer (IWE) and Level II and III qualifications across multiple advanced NDT methods. All supervision staff are subject to client approval processes to ensure alignment with project-specific quality expectations.

To maintain transparency and control, Applus+ in China will implement structured reporting procedures, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates. These reports provide visibility on production progress, inspection outcomes, and any identified non-conformities, supporting informed decision-making and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

The agreement is valid for two years and covers manufacturing activities linked to overseas projects in key markets. By integrating independent third-party supervision into its supply chain, the client aims to strengthen quality assurance processes and maintain consistency across international deliveries.
