Applus+ is responsible for the design, supply, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of meteorological towers for a major wind measurement project located in the department of Arequipa, Peru. This initiative aims to ensure accurate wind resource measurements and to carry out site calibration and wind turbine power curve measurement, in compliance with international IEC standards.
The project, which began in the second half of 2025, includes the installation of fully instrumented wind measurement towers, which will allow the wind farm developers to obtain highly reliable data to optimize the design and operation of the project.
Among the main challenges of the project is the need to meet execution deadlines efficiently and in coordination with the wind farm’s construction schedule. To this end, Applus+ will apply its global experience in renewable energy projects, along with rigorous planning and advanced technical solutions.
The expected results include:
With this project, Applus+ reaffirms its commitment to the development of renewable energy in Peru and Latin America, providing specialized services that integrate engineering, supervision, environmental measurement, and monitoring of wind energy projects.
