Applus+ in Canada has been awarded a major contract to deliver large-scale turnaround for an oil and natural gas company

14/06/2023

Applus+ has been awarded a portion of a maintenance and corrosion monitoring program by a Canadian integrated oil and natural gas company. The scope of work includes Visual Inspection of various equipment and components, Eddy Current Testing of exchangers, and corrosion surveys on various facility equipment/systems to help reduce downtime or unexpected failures of assets.

Our technicians are utilizing conventional Ultrasonic Testing applications and Computed Radiography to assist in the corrosion monitoring of the facility’s assets. The majority of the work is required to be completed via Rope Access, a system that reduces costs-per-inspection points by removing the requirement to build staging/scaffolding to access these locations. Rope Access non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions provide both time and cost efficiency and can be used by any company in need of inspection and maintenance solutions at height.

Applus+ is now able to offer the full range of services required for this project with the growth of our Rope Access technology offerings. Such offerings help safeguard our client’s assets and operations, ensuring corrosion levels do not exceed the maximum allowable limits. A specialized crew of IRATA-certified NDT technicians, Rope Access technicians, and tradespeople support the execution of this work on a daily basis.

With decades of experience and a proven track record of delivering testing and inspection support on large-scale turnaround scopes, Applus+ is an ideal partner for owner-operator companies and contractors requiring integrity and facility maintenance support.
