Applus+ and Madrid City Council sign a collaboration agreement to promote the new Madrid 360 General Plan

07/10/2025

Through the group’s consultancy and construction divisions, Applus+ has signed a collaboration agreement with Madrid City Council to support the roll-out of the new Madrid 360 General Plan, a strategic project that will shape the future of land use and urban development in the capital, based on key criteria: innovation, sustainability and quality of life.

Under this agreement, Applus+ will bring its technical expertise and innovative capabilities to bear in areas such as sustainable city design, the application of scientific methodologies for data collection and the drafting of proposals, as well as the definition of guidelines for advancing territorial strategy and urban models.

The key aspects of the collaboration include technical advice on the implementation of the project, and the definition of the actions required to achieve the objectives set out in the General Plan, as well as the sharing of knowledge with the City Council through internal meetings, seminars, conferences, and international events. Furthermore, Applus+ will provide support in the dissemination of information related to spatial planning and urban strategy, and will contribute to the promotion and public dissemination of both the agreement and the initiatives arising from it.

The involvement of our teams both in terms of strategy and from the perspective of environmental consultancy and construction enables us to offer a comprehensive and distinctive vision, ranging from urban analysis and assessment to the practical definition of sustainable and innovative territorial solutions.

In this way, we will be reflecting on urban planning, territorial design, architecture and strategic projects that will shape the evolution of Madrid on different scales, making a contribution that will enrich the debate.

The four-year agreement is a reaffirmation of Applus+'s commitment to building the cities of the future: urban models that are more resilient, sustainable and inclusive, putting our specialised knowledge at the disposal of Madrid City Council to promote more practical and transformative territorial planning.
