Applus+ and Equinor extend a decade-long collaboration through a new framework agreement

20/08/2026

Applus+ in Norway has secured a renewed framework agreement with Equinor to provide inspection and vendor surveillance services for oil and gas projects, extending the collaboration for up to nine more years. Building on ten years of collaboration, shared values, and technical excellence, the renewed agreement continues Applus+ role across Equinor's global operations.

Since 2016, Applus+ in Norway have supported Equinor, an international energy company developing oil, gas, renewables, and low-carbon solutions, in some of the energy industry's most demanding projects, building a relationship founded on technical excellence, trust, and shared values.

Over the years, Applus+ has delivered inspection and vendor surveillance services across the supply chain, with a particular focus on linepipe fabrication, coating, transportation, and installation activities. Through this collaboration, our teams have developed a strong understanding of Equinor's requirements, expectations, and commitment to operational excellence.

Today, we are proud to announce the next chapter in that journey, following the award of a new Framework Agreement that will extend our collaboration for up to 9 more years.

The renewed framework agreement is a testament to the trust, performance, and shared commitment that have defined the relationship between Applus+ and Equinor for nearly a decade.

The scope of the new framework expands Applus+ involvement across Equinor's operations, adding inspection services for Well Completion Equipment and Wellhead & Tree Equipment alongside our established activities in OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods), conductors, linepipe, coating, and pipe lay construction.

Equinor’s strong focus on safety, sustainability, transparency, and responsible business conduct closely aligns with the values that guide Applus+ globally.

The alignment between our organizations goes beyond technical requirements and contractual obligations. Both companies share a commitment to conducting business with integrity, fostering a strong safety culture, and maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct. These common principles have helped create a collaboration built on mutual respect, trust, and a shared ambition to deliver excellence.

Agnar Singh Sidhu, Country Manager, Applus+ in Norway, said:

"Our relationship with Equinor is one we value tremendously. We have had the privilege of supporting their projects for nearly ten years, and we are honored by the confidence they have shown in us through this renewed agreement.

What makes this collaboration particularly meaningful is the alignment between our organizations. We share high expectations for quality, safety, integrity, and professional conduct. These common values create a strong foundation for long-term collaboration and continuous improvement.

At Applus+, our ambition is to Go Beyond Standards. We see the strongest collaborations as those that challenge both parties to improve, innovate, and raise expectations continually. Equinor has consistently demonstrated that mindset, and we look forward to continuing our journey together while further strengthening our collaboration both in Norway and internationally."

As the cooperation enters its next chapter, Applus+ looks forward to continuing to support Equinor's global operations with inspection, quality assurance, and technical surveillance services. Together, we will continue to build on a decade of collaboration, helping ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of critical energy infrastructure around the world.

The renewed framework agreement is not only a continuation of a successful relationship but also a foundation for future growth, innovation, and collaboration between our organizations in the years ahead. With this agreement, Equinor secures continued independent inspection and vendor surveillance coverage across its OCTG, linepipe, coating, well completion, and wellhead equipment supply chain, helping ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of its energy infrastructure for up to nine more years.
