    Applus+ will present the study "Development and Deployment of Asset Management Systems for Ashghal" and the latest 3D laser technology for distress analysis and asset inventory

    Applus+ will present the study "Development and Deployment of Asset Management Systems for Ashghal" (Public Works Authority of Qatar) at the II Regional Congress of the International Road Federation in Asia and the World Conference on Pavement and Asset Management, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) this October, and in Milan (Italy) next year, respectively.
     
    In these presentations, Yon Marcuerquiaga Ruiz de Alda, Pavement Management Business Line Manager of Applus+; and Ahmed Rashid M. Al Kubaisi, Head of Roads Maintenance Division of Ashghal; will explain the project Applus+ has executed for Ashgal on auscultation of the state of the urban and interurban roads network in the country and implementation of an assets conservation management system, with the aim of knowing when, where and what kind of network maintenance strategies should be undertaken to achieve the operational excellence within the budget.
     
     
    Also, details of the latest 3D laser technology for distress analysis and asset inventory used in the project will be outlined, as well as that of used for the estimation of the pavement condition: laser optics, surface adhesion road measurement equipment, georadars, etc.
     
    This project has greatly contributed to the company’s qualitative and quantitative development of this business in recent years. The pavement management business line has undergone a huge evolution in the last three years, both from the point of view of the technology used and the type of projects it has been involved in various parts of the world, which has enabled it to provide innovative solutions to its customers.
