Applus+ is pleased to announce the appointment of Fernando Vallejo as the new IT SVP (Global CIO) of the Applus+ Group, effective June 1st, 2025.
Fernando will report directly to the CEO and join the Executive Committee. He will also lead Applus+ Ventures—our corporate venturing initiative—and oversee the Digital Community, a collaborative innovation hub that brings together experts from across the company to develop cutting-edge solutions.

Fernando joins Applus+ from Globalvia, a leading Spanish infrastructure group, where he served as Chief Innovation, Information and Sustainability Officer, as well as Managing Director of Openvia Mobility, the group’s innovation and technology company. He also held board positions in several tech companies backed by the group. His career also includes strategy and operations roles at Capgemini Consulting, R&D projects at the Alcatel Group and Thales Alenia Space.
Fernando, who qualified as a Telecommunications Engineer (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), holds an Executive MBA from ESADE Business School. He also earned an Advanced Certificate for Executives (ACE) from MIT Sloan School of Management and is a certified Executive and Team Coach.
