Applus+ develops digital solutions for a safer world

20/05/2020

At Applus+, digitalisation has been implemented in all areas of our business, reducing costs and improving deadlines, safety, test precision and client service.

Digitalisation is inherent to cutting-edge research and Applus+ implements it in all areas of the business. Our broad and assorted service portfolio includes digital solutions that improve several aspects, such as client experience, cost-effectiveness and the precision of tests. Each division has developed digital innovations to face new challenges, and they serve as a representative sample of our digitalisation approach.

The Laboratories Division has developed e-Testing, a virtual platform that enables clients to remotely control the testing of their products or assets safely  in real time. Digital Twin is a service developed by the Energy & Industry Division to create digital twins (a 3D copy of an element) so that asset inspections can be carried out from anywhere. The IDIADA Division has launched the EVADE 2022 project to develop a methodology for testing autonomous emergency braking systems (AEB). Automotive Division’s GPSi is a portable device that uses measurement equipment based on satellite navigation (GNSS) which overcomes the limitations of the rolling-road system usually employed to verify taximeters.

These are just four samples of our digitalisation, the core strategy that supports our versatility and adaptability. We develop and implement digital solutions alongside our clients, adapting at all times to the unique challenges that come up and those that may arise, in line with our passion for progress towards a safer world.
