Applus+ to take part in Spain’s 14th national NDT congress

04/06/2019
This year’s congress organised by the Asociación Española de Ensayos No Destructivos (the Spanish association for non-destructive testing), to which Applus+ belongs, will take place from 12th to 14th June 2019 at the Palacio de Congresos Europa in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Applus+ will be represented by Michiel Harinck and Niels Pörtzgen, experts in non-destructive testing from the Northern Europe region. Niels Pörtzgen is to give a presentation on the potential applications of cutting-edge technology, showcasing our IWEX AUT product for the inspection of welds. Michiel Harinck will, for his part, talk about the DTI Trekscan technology, used for in-service internal pipe inspections.

Applus+ will also have a 12-square-metre stand in the exhibition hall, where we will have two scale models of our IWEX AUT and DTI Trekscan tools on display. The company will also be displaying its portfolio of NDT services and solutions, a field in which we boast more than 20 years’ experience.

Attending the event alongside Michiel Harinck and Niels Pörtzgen will be Ricardo Vega, Director of the Mechanical Business Line in Spain; Avelino Vázquez, Head of Mechanics in Asturias; and José Luis F. Ferreras, Director for the Northeast. The team will work together in a commercial capacity to raise awareness of all the benefits that Applus+ can offer in the NDT field.

By participating in this congress, the Applus+ team aims to strengthen the company’s position in the market and source new business opportunities through which it can continue to apply its extensive experience and the most up-to-the-minute technology in the NDT industry.
