Horta Coslada, the company managing the construction of the new roof at the Santiago Bernabéu football stadium and specialist in complex metal structures, has entrusted Applus+ to inspect and supervise the roof's integral elements.
A team of four inspectors from Applus+ is delivering the services, both at the client's own workshop and on site at the emblematic stadium for Real Madrid FC.
In the workshop, our team is carrying out welding control and inspection through non-destructive testing of the different elements, manufactured to form the tubular and cable-stayed truss assemblies, as well as inspecting the different components for their support and assembly.
Some of the inspections performed by our technicians include dimensional control, magnetic-particle weld testing, volumetric control by ultrasonic testing, visual inspection and torque control of the bolted structure on site.
In addition, the bolted joints are monitored and controlled on site, as well as quality control by visual inspection and torque control of the different modules that will make up the roof trusses.
The work began in July 2020 and is expected to continue at least throughout 2021. The experience and expertise of the specialist teams at Applus+ are a guarantee for the safety and security of our clients' most complex projects.
