Applus+ in Turkey will participate in a key oil and gas project for a Turkish NDT company, delivering the digital radiographic service and training for technicians to use the advanced technology Rayscan, a proprietary Applus+ technology.
Three pipelines of approximately 60 kms, and a thickness between 5.2 mm and 9.5 mm, will be inspected by a trained technical team using digital Xray equipment, which also will convert the data into a high-resolution digital image thanks to a single scan through Rayscan.
Real-time digital radiography systems, such as Rayscan, promote faster work cycles and are more profitable and safer, while being more environment friendly because they do not require chemical waste management . In addition, real-time digital radiography delivers analysis quickly, with better definition for identifying and evaluating the indicators to be inspected.
