Applus+ fully accredited as GlobalPlatform Security Laboratory for TEE products

GlobalPlatform’s TEE Certification Scheme aims to ensure standardized security for this new mobile security architecture.
Applus+ Laboratories is glad to announce its accreditation as a GlobalPlatform (GP) Security Laboratory for
TEE products. Applus+ was selected by GP to participate in the definition of this new certification scheme, and some months ago was chosen as one of the few laboratories pre-accredited by GP to evaluate TEE solutions. Applus+ is now working on its first TEE security evaluation, and as a fully accredited laboratory, we are ready to complete this TEE evaluation.
A new certification scheme
This new certification scheme evaluates compliance with the TEE protection profile as defined by GlobalPlatform. This scheme aims to facilitate
TEE technology deployment by providing a trustworthy and standardized TEE ecosystem for everyone involved: product vendors will have a certification scheme to demonstrate that they align with market security requirements.
OEMs will benefit when choosing TEE prototypes to integrate in their products, and can also evaluate the security of their device (once they have implemented TEE) to obtain a final GP certification for their product. And finally, service providers and other interested parties will have access to a database of certified products in order to decide whether to implement their application in a particular device.
