The proposed acquisition reflects Applus+' continued investment in Australia and its commitment to building a leading environmental advisory business in the region. Resource Strategies' capabilities would complement the Division’s existing operations and further strengthen its ability to support clients delivering complex infrastructure, energy and resource projects.

Leah McGimpsey, CEO of APEM and EVP of Environmental Services at Applus+, said: "Resource Strategies is a highly respected business with strong technical and project management expertise, longstanding industry relationships and a well-established reputation for delivery."

"The proposed transaction reflects our commitment to investing in Australia and continuing to strengthen our environmental advisory capabilities in the region. We believe Resource Strategies would be an excellent addition to Environmental Services and would further enhance the value we deliver to clients across Australia," added Richard Bartlett, CEO of Applus+.

If completed, the acquisition would bring together complementary expertise across environmental approvals, planning, ecology, heritage and environmental advisory services. The transaction remains subject to approval from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and other customary completion conditions.
