Applus+ carries out a topographic survey using drones for the development of distribution network projects in Brazil

The Applus+ team in Brazil is developing electrical distribution network projects in the state of Goias for a global energy leader. Within this contract, the topographical survey using drones is contemplated in order to obtain precise information and images in the shortest possible time.

Within the scope of the services provided, we find double grid photogrammetry, the linear adjustment of slopes, and the development of longitudinal profiles that will allow the fulfilment of the contract. Also, we find the detection of individual and massive failures that do not allow the correct functioning of the electrical networks.

Applus+ drone inspection services allow a high degree of scalability and adaptability to meet the specific needs of each client. This allows to provide essential information at minimal cost and time compared to traditional remote inspection methodologies, with the added advantage that most human risk factors are eliminated.

Topographic surveys with the use of drones with GPS-RTK (real-time kinematic positioning with GPS systems) and GNSS (relative positioning technique) allow the reduction of the number of teams in the field, greater speed of data acquisition, and ease of operation in each project.
