Applus+ acquires IDV and will operate its three statutory vehicle inspection stations in Madrid
Applus+ now has nine statutory vehicle inspection stations in the Community of Madrid, where it is the dominant provider by number of inspections.
Madrid, April 21st 2022 - Applus+, a global testing, inspection and certification company, has acquired Entidad IDV Madrid (“IDV”), a company with three vehicle inspection stations in the Community of Madrid (Spain).
Following this transaction, Applus+ has nine statutory vehicle inspection stations in Madrid, cementing its position as the company with the highest number of inspections in the region and continues to be the largest provider in Spain.
IDV operates three stations where it performs statutory vehicle inspections and taximeter testing. Two are in the capital itself, in the districts of Vicalvaro and Fuencarral, and another is located in the Madrid metropolitan area, in Majadahonda.
Applus+ is one of the global leaders in statutory vehicle inspections, directly operating over 600 stations in 14 countries and supervising the programmes of an additional 3,300 centres in the United States, totalling more than 27 million inspections annually. Statutory vehicle inspections for safety and emissions are expected to keep growing well in existing and new markets.
