Applus+ has gained a new accreditation to carry out regulatory inspections for Pressure Equipment in Portugal. This important accreditation is the newest addition to its portfolio, as Applus+ strives to maintain its position as a benchmark in an increasingly competitive sector.
This accreditation was awarded by the national accreditation body for Portugal (IPAC), with reference number I0119. It allows Applus+ to carry out different types of inspection on pressure equipment in accordance with Portuguese legislation.
This new service will complement the existing capabilities which Applus+ can offer in the design and manufacture of pressure equipment in Portugal, as a Spanish Notified Body, notified to apply the European pressure equipment Directives 2014/68/EU and 2014/29/EU. This has now expanded to include setting up facilities and carrying out periodic inspections while the equipment is in use.
