Applus+ has been selected by Metro de Madrid to make inspections through non-destructive testing (NDT) in different elements of its rolling stock.
The service will consist in inspecting bogie frames and fitting areas in axle elements through magnetic particle testing (MPT) and liquid penetrant testing (LPT).
By inspecting the areas joining stringers and girts, as well as certain critical areas depending on the bogie series, it is possible to guarantee the safety and reliability of Metro de Madrid’s rolling stock. This shows the commitment assumed by Metro de Madrid in terms of maintenance and continuous improvement of its train fleet for the purpose of rendering quality service and safety to users.
