Applus+ expands its collaboration with the “Motor Verde” initiative and strengthens its sustainability and climate change service offering

Motor Verde develops carbon absorption projects by regenerating natural spaces, producing a positive impact in three areas: environmental, social, and economic. Among its services is the possibility of supporting clients through voluntary carbon offsetting processes, with projects that may be executed and registered in the “Carbon Footprint, Offset, and Carbon Dioxide Absorption Projects Registry” under the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITERD).

Under this agreement, Applus+ will act as a facilitator in the collaboration process with Grupo Sylvestris and Repsol, connecting interested parties with the Motor Verde initiative, assisting in gathering the necessary technical information, and supporting the preparation and submission of proposals tailored to each organisation. This guidance role enables interested companies to access real carbon offsetting solutions aligned with official standards and with positive impacts on nature and society.

This alliance strengthens Applus+ value proposition in the fields of sustainability and climate change. In addition to offering clients specialised climate change consulting and a carbon footprint calculation service through its Applus+ Carbon Footprint Calculator, the company will now also facilitate access to offsetting solutions that comply with official standards and deliver environmental, economic, and social benefits.

With this new line of collaboration, Applus+ broadens its scope in the ESG services field, integrating emissions calculation, strategy, and offsetting into a more comprehensive offering to support organizations on their path to sustainability.
