Applus+ will provide quality assurance services for photovoltaic modules to one of the most important Italian energy distributors


    Applus+ is expanding its collaboration with one of Italy’s largest energy distributors to include the solar sector’s services. Building on their existing inspection and expediting contract, Applus+ will now offer comprehensive quality control for photovoltaic modules produced in China, aimed at the construction of solar plants worldwide.

    Applus+ will support its client through a range of activities:

    • Factory audits, to ensure compliance with quality standards, production capabilities, and operational efficiency.
    • Inline production monitoring, to identify any deviations or issues and ensure adherence to set standards;
    • Visual inspections, to detect any visible defects, damages, or irregularities that may affect the performance or lifespan of the modules.
    • Power verification, to ensure that the modules generate the expected power output under standard operating conditions.
    • Electroluminescence tests, to reveal any hidden defects, such as cracks, cell breakages, or electrical malfunctions, among others.

    These services are designed to ensure that photovoltaic modules are in optimal technical conditions, guaranteeing the maximum profitability of the asset and the monitoring of the quality conditions of photovoltaic modules during the production stage. Moreover, Applus+ offers flexibility in terms of conducting the test at the supplier's premises or at their accredited laboratories located in China.
