Applus+ renews a major contract for rope access inspection, fabric maintenance and general mechanical duties in Russia

Through our Energy & Industry Division in Singapore, Applus+ has received a 3 year extension with a major drilling contractor in Russia to carry out rope access inspection, fabric maintenance and general mechanical duties. This extension reflects our ongoing and positive relationship with a key client, with whom Applus+ in Singapore has had a contract since 2010.

Working in challenging environments and conditions across the client’s offshore facilities, where temperatures in winter often reach -30 °C, Applus+ plays a key part in ensuring the safe and continued operation of offshore drilling operations.

Common activities include DROPS inspection (identification of correct mechanical securing and installation to prevent potential dropped objects); cladding and insulation inspection, maintenance and repair; drilling derrick inspection in accordance with API4G and ad-hoc tasks for general repairs and maintenance.

Utilising the local Applus+ office in Russia, the Group has been able to deploy local manpower as part of a development program to better serve our clients and develop more skilled local resources.
