Applus+ Velosi and Kiefner take an Interdisciplinary Approach to New Construction of LNG Facility

12/05/2020

Applus+ Velosi was recently engaged by a major client to participate in the new construction and development of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Calcasieu Pass, Louisiana. The new facility is projected to bring hundreds of new jobs to southwestern Louisiana, while its exports will support the balance of trade for the United States.

In working closely with our clients to develop the scope of work for the project, the Velosi team recognized areas of added value that could be fulfilled by Kiefner and Associates, Applus+’s engineering consultancy, in the United States. While Velosi is responsible for the vendor surveillance and expediting on this project, Kiefner and Associates was brought in to provide civil engineering, heavy haul transportation, and installation services crucial to the project’s success. Our clients, satisfied with the outcome of the collaboration, have slated three additional projects to run through the year 2030.

A major focus of any project we take part in is on building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients. This allows us to identify additional areas of value to safeguard and enhance their operations. In this case, Applus+ Velosi’s relationship with our clients allowed for the opportunity to showcase the unique way our various service lines can be employed together, resulting in an efficient and collaborative process.

This project marks the first major collaboration between Applus+ Velosi and Kiefner. It highlights the interdisciplinary services Applus+ is capable of providing to benefit our clients.

Our wide range of diverse skills and capabilities allows Applus+ to approach any client venture from multiple avenues to ensure the success of the overall project.
