The key to helping a company improve in the area of ESG is to embed good corporate governance principles into management and to operate in an ethical and responsible manner. The Applus+ Group has specific ESG objectives, currently linked to the remuneration of the members of the Board of Directors and which have been put in place throughout the organisation, which proves that the commitment to sustainability emanates from the high up in the company and permeates all of its departments and activities.
The Applus+ ESG Committee, which is headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, leads the Group's corporate social responsibility and is in charge of ensuring compliance and the operation of policies to improve ESG and ensure the impartiality, integrity and independence of Applus+; fundamental principles in the inspection, testing and certification sector.
This commitment is demonstrated by the multiple initiatives that we have launched and that have received both national and international awards. Through our initiatives to improve governance, the company has successfully adopted 90% of the applicable recommendations of the CNMV - Spain’s National Securities Market Commission - and since 2021, all Applus+ staff have received training in the company's Code of Ethics and have signed on their commitment to this. You can consult our corporate governance initiatives in further depth in the 2021 Integrated Report.
