21/03/2022

A consortium led by Applus+, together with IRD Engineering S.A.R.L. and PPG D.O.O. Sarajevo, has been awarded the technical services contract on the development, implementation and financing strategy of a new road asset-management system being delivered by the companies responsible for operating and maintaining roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Over the next 12 months, a multidisciplinary team of specialists from the three collaborating companies will provide technical assistance to the public companies Auteceste and Autoputevi to ensure the reliability, serviceability, sustainability and safety of the road infrastructure-management system. The consortium will also work on defining a sustainable financing strategy for the ongoing road maintenance of the highway Corridor Vc in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The development of the Corridor Vc highway is financed through a grant from the technical cooperation programme of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The project is a national strategic priority because the improved road network will boost the economic development of the region by connecting the main cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the capital, Sarajevo.
