Capital Finance International (CFI), a specialised website and quarterly publication that provides insight into international finance and development, has chosen Applus+ as the winner of its Best Technical Testing & Certification Partner category in their Professional Services Awards 2023.
Applus+ came to CFI’s attention when it was nominated as a top testing and certification provider by staff from third-party organisations with deep ties to CFI, as well as the canvassing of corporate executives. The judging panel and the editorial team at CFI reviewed the nomination based on publicly available information and decided to include Applus+ in the shortlist.
CFI, supported by organisations like the World Bank Group, the OECD, the World Trade Organization, the ADB, and several UN and EU bodies, as well as prestigious universities, exchanges, companies, institutes, and central banks around the world, gathered additional insight in a conversation with Joan Amigó, CEO of the Applus+ Group. Our CEO conveyed to the judging panel what sets us apart from the competition, highlighted our main strengths, explained our core values, and detailed how the company promotes them.
The judging panel, which comprises industry professionals, business writers, corporate leaders and academics, submitted a very positive evaluation of Applus+, noting that the company is “trusted by blue-chip companies worldwide” and that “it has built a loyal client base”.
“The company continues to reduce fossil fuel energy exposure and to drive investments towards renewables”, adds the judges’ report, mentioning our adherence to rigorous sustainability standards in order to generate sustainable returns for investors and positive impacts for communities.
CFI’s appraisal goes on to say: “Innovation has been a key propellant of the company's development and will continue to light the path moving forward”. The judging panel also commentates on the fact that Applus+ strives to accelerate the energy transition as a thought leader and technological expert in the fields of biomass, biofuel, onshore and offshore wind energy, photovoltaic energy and green hydrogen.
