Madrid, 31st March, 2022 - The Spanish multinational Applus+, a global leader in the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) sector, has achieved a new positive rating for its environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators.
Standard & Poor’s Global ranks Applus+ as the 11th best company of 105 companies in its sector, with a score of 54 for ESG management. The average score among all the companies analysed was 24 points.
In the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment, Applus+ has improved year-on-year in all areas analysed (environmental performance, governance and social factors). The Group has scores well above average in the following categories:
The recognition by S&P Global is in addition to those achieved from other ESG indices in previous months: Sustainalytics (”Low risk" for ESG factors, with a score of 15.6); Gaïa Rating (71 out of 100 points); MSCI ESG Research (“AA” rating); International CDP project (“B" rating); and member of the FTSE4Good index, for investors interested in companies that stand out for sustainability.
The Applus+ Group has just published the Financial and Non-Financial Information Report 2021 on its website, which reflects the previous ESG recognitions and reports on the sustainability projects that the company has delivered in recent months.
