Committed professionals

To adapt to a dynamic environment in constant change, and to also meet the needs of our employees, we launch a commitment survey every two years to the entire organisation. In addition, we run quick, small-scale surveys in real-time to identify how our employees’ needs may change over time. With the help of this understanding, we modify and direct the objectives and outcomes of established action plans.

Across the commitment surveys run by Applus+, the highest rated dimensions are: Safety (score 85/100), Ethics (score 80/100) and Diversity (score 80/100).

The latest, overall professional-satisfaction index at Applus+ recorded a new high of seventy-four percent, improving on the score from the previous survey. This is thanks to the various initiatives and action plans proposed by our employees to improve their working conditions.

Evidence of our contribution to improving our work environment and our employees’ wellbeing goes beyond improving the levels of employee engagement. In 2021, the Group also decreased voluntary staff turnover to 11%.

In addition to the engagement survey and pulse surveys, we have other methods that help us connect with our professionals. The opinions, ideas and contributions of our people are important to the company. Everyone has access to opinion forms, through the intranet or physical mailboxes, where they can give their opinion anonymously, such as through Applus Voice. “Applus Voice is an employee forum made up of representatives from each of our UK sites. Founded in 2017, this forum has provided a platform for employees to raise suggestions for improvements and concerns, report news, and more. Applus Voice also provides senior management with a channel of communication with the workforce. I enjoy my role as a coordinator of this group. I think it is important to give employees the opportunity to use their voice and help improve their work environment, as it encourages them to feel valued and included,” says Lauren Hammond, HR Advisor at Applus+.
