Barlovento Applus+ Supports Global Power Generation Australia in Power Curve Testing Across Three Wind Farms

Scope of Work

The testing campaign included the execution of seven power curve tests following the rigorous IEC 61400-12-1 international standard. The tests aimed to verify warranty compliance for seven Vestas V136-4.2 MW wind turbines, ensuring optimal operational performance and alignment with contractual requirements.

Technical Execution

Barlovento Applus+ experienced team meticulously defined the testing configuration, selecting the appropriate wind turbine generators (WTGs), meteorological masts, and measurement systems for accurate data capture. Key activities included:

• Installation of electrical power measurement sensors directly on the turbines, enabling precise power output recording.
• Inspection and verification of meteorological tower sensor compliance to ensure reliability of wind speed and direction data.
• A collaborative measurement campaign executed alongside GPG and the turbine original equipment manufacturer (OEM), maintaining transparent and effective communication throughout.

All wind testing activities adhered strictly to IEC standards and contractual specifications, guaranteeing data integrity and compliance.
