Australia's energy transition is accelerating, with Q1 2025 marking the second-best quarter on record for grid-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) investments.
According to the Clean Energy Council, six major projects totaling 1,510MW/5,016MWh reached financial commitment, representing a combined investment of AU$2.4 billion.
