09/03/2020

ASME accreditation is an industry gold standard. By renewing the ASME Certification Mark, Applus+ is demonstrates a strong commitment to the quality and integrity of its inspection services around the world.

Applus+ has renewed the ASME Certification Mark, one of the most prestigious certifications for pressure equipment in the oil and gas industry. Applus+ is proud to be one of the few inspection organisations to be directly accredited by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NB).

ASME certification is frequently required by clients worldwide as it is a leading standard for inspection and NDT service projects in the oil and gas industry. Currently, there are 8000+ certificate holders worldwide manufacturing pressure equipment to the ASME standard. There are only a few inspection organisations which are able to provide inspection services to these manufacturers.

Applus+ has been audited by a team consisting of ASME and National Board representatives, who rigorously verified compliance with the quality system and conformity to the ASME QAI-1 Standard for Authorized Inspection. Applus+ is fully committed to fulfilling the strict requirements regarding the training, qualifications and certification of its inspectors, and the annual renewal of their qualifications. We also monitor the activities of manufacturers under contract to ensure their products meet the high safety standards of the ASME Code.

With an increasing number of qualified inspectors worldwide, Applus+ can serve its clients in the best possible way by:

    •     Inspecting their products
    •     Guiding them through the certification process
    •     Assisting in the application of ASME and NB Codes
    •     Providing training in practical Code knowledge
