Applus+ in the UAE completes emergency pipeline repair with PRIMUS liner technology

The project required urgent mobilisation and a trenchless solution that could meet strict municipal regulations and environmental standards. Applus+ engaged the trenchless repair system PRIMUS to deploy their advanced smooth inner coating optimal for water transportation, enabling the internal rehabilitation of the pipeline without the need for full excavation.

The repair utilised a custom-fabricated aramid-reinforced liner, engineered to accommodate the pipeline's operational pressure of up to 20 bar. The system was installed using a pull-in method, without curing or chemical bonding, ensuring clean, safe reinstatement of potable water flow.
