Applus+ in Saudi Arabia has been awarded a major water infrastructure services project involving sanitary sewer pipeline inspection and cleaning in southern Saudi Arabia. The 24-month project covers approximately 1,500 km of wastewater networks and pipelines and will support improved network reliability, condition assessment and maintenance planning.
The project covers Assir, Jazan, Al-Baha and Najran and includes a comprehensive range of inspection and assessment activities designed to provide greater visibility into the condition and performance of wastewater infrastructure.
Under the scope of work, Applus+ will carry out hydro-cleaning activities, closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections, sewer condition assessments, Robotic cutting for the hard and blocked deposits and exposing of buried manhole and align with pavement level. The project also includes GIS system updates to ensure that inspection findings and infrastructure information can be effectively integrated into the management of the wastewater network.
Advanced inspection methodologies and internationally recognized standards, including EN 13508, will be implemented throughout project execution. Applus+ will also utilize specialized CCTV inspection technologies, digital reporting systems and data-integration workflows compatible with GIS and AutoCAD platforms.
