Applus+ in Canada, are pleased to announce that we have been awarded a significant Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) contract by a prominent shipbuilding company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
This collaboration represents our dedication to quality in the field of Non-Destructive Testing as well as our commitment to developing long-term connections within the marine industry.
The integrity of vessels under construction will depend on Applus+’ NDT services to identify and reduce faults before they become safety problems. By using our bespoke SCAR (Small Controlled Area Radiography), which is used to inspect weld quality on piping and tubing systems, vessels, structural shapes and other techniques such as corrosion monitoring or information shots and Computed Radiography, using imaging plates, that are digitized by the scanner and then displayed on a monitor for evaluation and manipulation, we can safely perform Close Proximity Radiography (CPR), which reduces exclusion zones and provides the option to conduct simultaneous operations. A qualified workforce and ongoing investment in innovative NDT technologies were instrumental in our acquisition of this contract.
