Applus+ in Tanzania recently completed its first inspection for client Yapi Merkezi.
The inspection used ultrasonic testing (UT) to determine the primary cause of cracks that had appeared during the construction of Nkrumah Bride-P37, Kmtr-0+858.7. The use of UT helped the client to establish the depth of the cracks without damaging the concrete service.
Two Applus+ technicians completed the inspection on time, to the highest level of client satisfaction. Their inspection report on the cause of the cracks allowed the client to take the appropriate remedial and preventative action.
