Applus+ in the UAE has signed a long-term agreement with ADNOC Gas to deliver condition monitoring and predictive maintenance services across key natural gas facilities in the United Arab Emirates. The five-year contract marks a significant expansion for the Applus+ Power Department in the Middle East energy market.
The agreement will cover several critical ADNOC Gas sites, including Ruwais, Habshan-5, Habshan, Bab, and Das. These facilities are vital to ADNOC’s operations, and the partnership reflects the company’s continued focus on adopting advanced maintenance strategies to enhance system reliability and reduce downtime.
As part of the project, Applus+ will implement a suite of advanced predictive maintenance technologies designed to detect early signs of equipment degradation. These include vibration analysis monitoring to identify mechanical imbalances, acoustic emission testing for the detection of structural defects in pressurized systems, and infrared thermography surveys to pinpoint electrical and thermal anomalies.
Applus+ will deploy a dedicated team of qualified specialists to perform regular on-site inspections, collect and analyze diagnostic data, and conduct thermographic scanning and vibration trend analysis across ADNOC’s selected assets. The team will also prepare detailed condition monitoring reports with actionable recommendations, supply all necessary tools and sampling materials, and coordinate closely with ADNOC’s maintenance teams to support the implementation of corrective actions. All activities will be conducted in line with IOE-GU-014 guidelines, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and best practices.
This strategic win strengthens Applus+ Power Department’s role as a trusted provider of reliability and inspection services in the regional energy sector. The long-term nature of the agreement reflects ADNOC’s confidence in Applus+ technical expertise and underscores the shared commitment to maintaining safe, efficient, and sustainable energy infrastructure.
"This contract represents a significant milestone for our Power Department's expansion in the region. Our predictive maintenance services will help ADNOC Gas optimize their operations, enhance safety, and reduce maintenance costs through early detection of potential issues," said Sivasankaran, Power and MEP Manager at Applus+.
The project highlights Applus+’ continued investment in supporting the long-term performance and resilience of essential infrastructure across the UAE and the wider Middle East.
