Applus+ in UAE is pleased to announce the award of a 5-year contract from a major UAE pipeline operator for the delivery of pipeline integrity and In-Line Inspection (ILI) services across multiple onshore sites.
The scope of work includes pipeline mechanical cleaning, supply of nitrogen, diesel and inhibited water, XYZ mapping, and advanced ILI inspection and reporting services. The pipelines vary in length and service, requiring a flexible and coordinated execution approach across onshore operating environments.
As part of this engagement, Applus+ will deploy its proprietary DTI Trekscan™ technology, a free-swimming, bi-directional ILI tool designed to navigate complex pipeline configurations. Its technical advantages are based on accessibility, negotiability, and propulsion, enabling effective inspection in conditions where traditional ILI methods may face limitations. The system integrates ultrasonic inspection technology to support reliable data acquisition for pipeline integrity assessment.
Execution will be carried out fully in-house, supported by Applus+’ equipment and resources, including mechanical cleaning units, nitrogen membrane systems, pumping spreads, generators, compressors, and frac tanks. This integrated approach allows for greater operational control and the ability to adapt inspection activities in line with client requirements across multiple onshore locations.
Having resources readily available within the UAE enables efficient delivery of both mechanical cleaning and ILI inspection activities, supporting timely execution and contributing to the overall reliability of the client’s onshore pipeline network.
