Applus+ in the UAE is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to provide Technical Audit Services for a key client’s offshore jack-ups and barges. This award marks a significant milestone in Applus+’ ongoing commitment to supporting the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of offshore assets across the Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region.

Under the terms of the contract, Applus+ will deliver comprehensive, independent audits to evaluate the condition, compliance, and operational readiness of the client’s assets. The scope will include inspection and verification of hull structures, jacking systems, safety-critical equipment, maintenance practices, and marine operations. Each audit will be benchmarked against international offshore and maritime standards, as well as applicable regulatory and classification requirements.

In addition to inspections, Applus+ will provide detailed technical reports, including recommendations for improvement to help extend asset life, enhance performance, and reduce operational risk. These activities will be undertaken by the Applus+ Rig Services team, whose expertise spans engineering, safety management, and specialist offshore inspections.

Steve Johnson, Regional Rig Services Manager, Asia, Middle East and Africa, commented:

“We are delighted to be awarded this contract. It is a significant step in our Rig Services delivery and once again reflects our commitment to operational excellence across the AMEA region. Our technical audits provide assurance that assets meet the highest safety and operational standards while supporting long-term reliability.”

This long-term agreement further strengthens Applus+ in the UAE’s position as a trusted partner in the offshore energy sector, delivering inspection and verification services that enable clients to operate with confidence in challenging marine environments.
