Applus+ Canada has been granted ISO 17025:2017 certification for Mechanical Testing and is now an accredited testing facility.

With this accreditation, Applus+ Canada’s facility located in Surrey, British Columbia, joins other offices in the Applus+ Group registered as a testing and calibration laboratory. The accreditation was granted after Applus+ successfully demonstrated the conformance with ISO 17025:2017 requirements, as verified during an audit conducted by A2LA auditors in the aforementioned British Columbia office.

    The scope of accreditation includes:

    • Tensile Testing at Room Temperature
    • Guided Bend Testing
    • Charpy V-Notch Impact Test
    • Macro-Vickers Hardness Test
    • Rockwell Hardness C Scale Test
    • Weld Evaluation and Qualification

The achievement of the ISO 17025:2017 accreditation is evidence of Applus+’ commitment to the maintenance of its outstanding Management Systems and represents a step forward in supporting the organization’s drive to improve business performance. The accreditation lays a foundation for continually improving operations by standardizing quality processes on the inspection services, and by periodically monitoring the performance.

Mathew Smith – Director of Professional Services of Applus+ in Canada stated, “The team has successfully received the ISO 17025:2017 accreditation which supports our continued goal to provide world-class material testing services in a fair and impartial manner. This accreditation solidifies our reputation in Canada and enhances our performance under the Engineering line of business.”
