Applus+ participated in the Trenchless Middle East exhibition and conference which took place in Dubai, UAE on 13-14 December.

The event was supported by The International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) and The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). The two-day event welcomed visitors from across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.

Applus+ showcased the Acquarius tool by Acquaint, a smart solution for the internal condition assessment of pressure pipelines. The tool can complete condition assessment of metallic and non-metallic pipelines in a single run, with all data available within one day. Designed for pipeline diameters larger than DN200 the Acquarius inline inspection tool can inspect many kilometres of piping in a single run without any downtime.

David Henderson, Service Line Manager for Pipeline Rehabilitation Services in the Middle East & Africa presented a paper in the Trenchless Middle East Technical Conference, which focused on Leak Detection and Condition Assessment of Pressurised Pipelines using In-line technologies.

Brian Dawes, Executive Vice President for Applus+ in the Middle East & Africa commented, “Trenchless Middle East provides an opportunity for us to meet with clients, suppliers, consultants, and industry leaders. As the infrastructure in the Middle East gets older, the need for trenchless technology becomes greater. Applus+ is pleased to offer services such as trenchless surveys and pipeline rehabilitation to clients in the Middle East and we look forward to finding new ways to enhance and grow our service offerings.
