Applus+ in Saudi Arabia delivers tube inspection services for major turnaround in Jubail

Turnarounds are essential to maintaining the safety, reliability, and efficiency of industrial assets, requiring precise planning and execution under strict timelines. In this context, advanced inspection plays a key role in identifying potential defects and ensuring equipment integrity before operations resume.

For this project, Applus+ deployed a team of highly qualified and client-approved specialists to deliver a comprehensive inspection scope. The work included advanced techniques such as Full Saturation Eddy Current Testing (FSECT), Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL), Eddy Current Testing (ECT), and Internal Rotating Inspection System (IRIS), ensuring accurate detection of flaws across heat exchanger tubes and critical components.

The project was completed in full alignment with safety and operational requirements, achieving zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI) and recording 17,148 consecutive safe working hours. All personnel completed turnaround-specific HSSE induction and safety training, supported by daily safety briefings and toolbox talks across all activities.

The successful execution of this turnaround reflects Applus+’ commitment to maintaining high standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.
