Applus+ is a qualified certification body appointed by COSQC of the Republic of Iraq and authorized to issue a Certificate of Conformity for regulated goods prior to export, in accordance with the applicable standards and specifications.
Clients with consignments of regulated goods intended for export into Iraq are required to meet the stipulations of pre-inspection, documentary conformity (e.g., invoices, packing lists, HS codes), and testing (ISO 17025 reports where applicable) and to obtain a Certificate of Conformity to avoid delays in clearing the goods or penalties, including possible return of the shipment.
Applus+, through its Conformity Assessment Program (CAP), grants the Certificate of Conformity for compliant goods in the form required by COSQC, facilitating Iraqi customs procedures.
How to get a Certificate of Conformity (CoC)?
- Apply by submitting a Request for Certification (RFC) form along with core documents (invoice, packing list, HS codes, and test reports where applicable).
- Applus+ conducts the conformity assessment to ensure the goods meet specifications defined by COSQC/ICIGI.
- Applus+ performs inspection at origin/exporting country, assessing conformity through observation, measurement, examination, and testing where required (including sampling).
- Applus+ performs verification at Iraqi border ports to confirm the validity of the Certificate of Conformity, seals, and shipment, and issues the Release Document for consignments that match the certified data.
