Applus+ has been awarded a new contract to provide engineering consulting services for sustainable roads and transport management in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The 12-month project will begin with a comprehensive study to assess the current road and transportation network in the country. Our team of experts will then create a sustainability plan for the cities that need to construct a new transit road network. This will include a project timeline, cost estimation and the creation of new road maps according to the construction timeline, with the objective to create a sustainable road network in Saudi Arabia.

The project will be managed by Santiago Penabella, managing director of Applus+ Arabia and Project Manager, Amjad Baseet.

Amjad Baseet commented, “By taking on this project, Applus+ has renewed its commitment to the diversification of services in Saudi Arabia. Our aim is to become the leading service provider in the construction and infrastructure sector, as we continue to expand our reach and service offerings in the Kingdom. We are proud to be part of the sustainable roads project, an initiative of the Saudi government and we look forward to partnering with them on similar projects in the future.

The client chose Applus+ because of its high-quality service in the fields of inspection, engineering and consulting. Applus+ operates in Saudi Arabia through the Energy & Industry Division and offers a broad portfolio of solutions for the oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, construction, renewables and utilities sectors.
