Applus+ employees in Saudi Arabia participated in Earth Hour 2021.

Earth Hour is a lights-out event which began in Sydney in 2007. Founded by the WWF and partners, Earth Hour aims to call attention to climate change. Every year, on the last Saturday of March, millions of people in over 180 countries switch off their lights to show their support for our planet.

Applus+ in Saudi Arabia held a ‘lights-out’ event at their offices in Dhahran to encourage employees to pay close attention to climate change by switching off the lights for an hour of the workday. The event took place on Thursday, 25th March, the last working day before Earth Hour.

At Applus+, health and safety, quality and the environment are the core elements of our activities and culture.

Ronald Osorio, HSE Coordinator for Applus+ Velosi in Saudi Arabia stated, “We are proud to be part of the Earth Hour initiative. Our employees are committed to doing what they can to protect the environment and save our planet.

Saad Al Awadat, Business Development Executive added, “At our offices in Saudi Arabia, we constantly strive to operate more efficiently, waste less and reduce our ecological footprint. We look forward to being involved in more initiatives related to climate change.
