During the past 18 months, Applus+ in the Middle East received several enquiries from operators, state oil and gas companies, service companies, and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors with respect to working in Turkmenistan.

Applus+ duly explored the possibility of appointing a local agent, carrying out extensive research through both new and existing contacts.

Applus+ has submitted bids in excess of USD 15m for a variety of services with a number of different clients in Turkmenistan. It is confident that, once fully established, Applus+ Turkmenistan can grow its services in the Caspian region and have a positive effect on the performance of the region as a whole.
