Applus+ UK has successfully renewed the manual NDT services contract with EDF Energy

    Applus+ is pleased to announce that it has been succesful in securing the Manual NDT Services Contract with EDF Energy for the provision of inspection services to its fleet of eight UK nuclear power stations.

    The new contract, which Applus+ UK has held since January 2013, commenced  1st January 2020 for an initial 5-year period. The service provision will deliver MPI, DPI, UT, Eddy Current & Radiography inspection techniques, although Applus+ UK are keen to continue demonstrating the latest technological developments and supports innovation, and provide additional services as a trusted business partner. 

    The nucluar industry requires safety, quality, technical and service delivery standards of the highest calibre, and Applus+ UK is proud to have been assessed and selected against such criteria. Applus+ UK is committed to continuing the development and close working relationship with EDF Energy, based uponexcellent performance, continuos improvement, and the future challenges to the Nucluar Industry.

    In renewing the contract, EDF Energy have demonstrated an ongoing commitment and confidence in Applus+ UK as embedded and trusted strategic partner. Having worked alongside EDF Energy for the past 7 years, Applus+ UK has demonstrated a commitment to safety, a passion for improvement, and delivery of quality beyond industry standards.

    Due to its size longevity the contract will offer employement and long-term career opportunities for a large number of skilled and experienced technicians, who will be tasked with delivering planned inspection routines, as well as the time-critical services in support of station outages.
