Applus+ Velosi has successfully qualified its inspectors in PED

    Applus+ Velosi has successfully qualified its inspectors located in the UAE to perform assessments of pressure equipment as per the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED).
    For any product to trade within the European Union, it must meet the EU’s stringent product-safety directives. The CE-marking is a mandatory conformity mark that is required for a wide variety of products and indicates that a product complies with said directives. Achieving compliance, however, can be a complex process.
     
    Within this service line, we offer our client design appraisal, field inspections, and certification with the CE Mark.
     
    Typical products we certify are pressure vessels such as filters, heat exchangers, reactors, and power boilers, etc.
     
    One of the key challenges is to provide assistance in the effective implementation of non-harmonized standards like the ASME Code to fit the PED requirements, e.g., in particular, material appraisals.
