Applus+ in China awarded a three-year exclusive contract by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC)

Applus+ has signed a new contract to provide offshore inspection services to China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), a state-owned offshore oil and gas producer in China. The contract involves conducting daily inspections in over 20 countries for three years, from 2024 to 2026.

As part of its strategy to achieve a carbon peak by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, the Chinese government is actively promoting the development of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) as an energy source. The South China Sea, known for its abundant LNG reserves, has recently seen several LNG development projects.

Applus+ will play a crucial role in this development, leveraging our extensive global network and resources to inspect and test critical equipment such as wellheads/christmas trees, completion tools, sub-sea control systems, and sub-sea production systems fabricated in European and American countries.

This collaboration allows us to contribute to CNOOC's LNG development, supporting their commitment to equipment quality and safety.
