Live Webinar: Monitoring Oil & Gas Facilities Using Fibre Optic Sensors and Risk Minimisation

19/07/2020

Instrumentation is used to monitor in-service performance of any kind of structure, both onshore and offshore structures. This provides an early warning of potential failures, allowing time for safe evacuation of the area and implementation of remedial action.

Applus+ provides continuous monitoring services for the Oil & Gas Industry, using fibre optic sensors and risk minimisation tools.

In this free live webinar, we will look at the benefits of using fibre optic sensors in instrumentation and monitoring services in the Oil & Gas Industry.

Luis Alberto Jaén Pérez is the Service Line Director for Construction Services in the Applus+ Group and he will be joined by Pedro A. Calderón who is a professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a researcher at the ICITECH Institute (www.icitech.upv.es), where he leads the Structural Health Monitoring research line. Pedro is the leader and researcher of over 10 European Union and National Research projects, and he has worked on more than 50 research projects for private companies and institutions, many of them involving Fibre Optic based Structural Health Monitoring and advanced sensor systems.
