Applus+ in Indonesia has completed a significant Inservice Pressure Vessel Inspection project with one of nation's renewable energy companies in accordance with NBIC NB-23 Part 3. This Part provides information and guidance to perform, verify, and document acceptable repairs or alterations to pressure-retaining items regardless of code of construction.

In this project, we deployed our ASME Authorized Inspector with R Endorsement issued by the National Board which made our inspector qualified to carry out a tremendously high level of professionalism for the project.

The inspection involves a wide range of equipment used including Welding Gauge, Magnifying Glass & Torch Light & NDE Equipment (MT, PT & UT), as well as measuring and testing equipment along with some planned inspection programs such as Examination, Quality & Test Control. The inspection is completed within seven days at the biggest geothermal power plant in Indonesia, located in Kamojang - West Java.

At Applus+, our focus on the work scope is to limit risks to health, safety, and the environment in our client’s operation. This project has strengthened our position in the renewable sector, as well as strengthened the Pressure Vessel Inspection service capability in Indonesia.
