Applus+ secures three-year contract with Chevron Australia for non-destructive testing and inspection services

    In a move cementing its longstanding relationship with energy giant Chevron, Applus+ has announced a significant 3-year contract extension for the supply of non-destructive testing and inspection services in Australia.

    The scope of the contract encompasses key Chevron Australia operations, including the Barrow Island-based Gorgon and WA Oil Operations, as well as the Wheatstone natural gas project. Under the terms of the agreement, Applus+ will initially deploy 16 full-time field-based positions, after which Chevron will transition to a campaign model in the second half of 2024, and Applus+ will provide flexibility in personnel once the transitioned team is embedded.  Applus+ have also been engaged to provide additional resources allocated for turnaround and ad-hoc work scopes.

    Adam Alessandrino, Executive Vice President for the Pacific region at Applus+, expressed enthusiasm regarding the contract extension, citing it as a significant milestone for the company.
